posix memory management replacement is now merged. It's the only option (no option) on macOS, and can be optionally compiled (as shown immediately above) on Linux. The Linux preprocessor flag that currently enables it on Linux is MANAGE_STAGING, which I do not recommend setting on Windows builds 🙂. I'll bet exposing that more cleanly and adding some config to allow tuning of the memory manager's constants.
