In tomorrow's meeting I'd like to discuss closing out version3 support (builds, patches and repos not used by v4: blockchain, client, protocol, consensus. At the same time we could close out the very dated contrib project repos: pylibbitcoin, python-libbitcoin, and libbitcoin-c, and drop the original electrum fork (created from our original spesmilo repo when libbitcoin split off from that) and the secp256k1 fork (used to maintain version control in v3 before that library was versioned). If any v3 code is in use it's likely system and possibly explorer. Given that explorer depends on client and protocol (as well as system), this would end access to that as well. Before we release v4 we should bring bx up to at least its v3 feature set, updated for v4 server. I don't expect that to be more than three days work. I've also reviewed all open issues on the 5 bs repos and closed out those that are not relevant to v4. There were a few that are basically just indicating that there is no tx pool and no mining interface, which really don't need tracking issues. I've also added the major issues open on my v4 punch list, which is getting short.
