Any pointers on getting Nvidia GPU support built on Linux? I tend to see this (on a machine where nvidia-smi shows proper support with processes using the GPU as expected):

@josie?

I asked him about the build too today. He said he'd have to check what build command nix actually uses. Expecting an answer by tomorrow.

Awesome, thanks!

github.com/josibake/nix-libbitcoin , this is everything i use currently for building, and up to date. to make it a bit easier, i had claude dump all of the build steps into a stand alone script that doesnt need nix. disclaimer, i haven't testd the standalone script, but it should at least help with picking out the individual build commands being used.

note, i need to apply this patch when using a newer version of ultrafast: github.com/josibake/nix-libbitcoin/blob/…/libbitcoin-system-use-ultrafast-libbitcoin…

and this patch is need when using a specific CUDA (been meaning to upstream this to vano): github.com/josibake/nix-libbitcoin/blob/…/ultrafast-cuda-field-inv-launch…

i suspect you might just need the cmake patch tho
eynhaender14:31
I guess I'll just wait for the binary then 😁

haha take a look at the shell script i linked! that does everything i just mentioned, (applying patches, etc), and doesnt need nix
eynhaender14:34
Yea, absolutely. Just checked out the script, guess that's even more than I need. Thanks.
josie14:35
its meant more to show everything, so you can just pull out the parts you need/want
