I ran the libsecp256k1 benchmarks from the vc++ build that we use (which I maintain in NuGet). This is a 2.5 year old version of libsec, and doesn't have the advantage of ASM optimizations. So the benchmark is about 95-100 usecs per signature verify. Optimal builds can be 10 usec or less on this CPU, so we'll get a 10x improvement in that area over what I measure in validation time.
