This is the lowest end specification run I've ever attempted.
8 dual cores (16 logical) @ base clock 2.1GHz
8 GiB 2400Mhz RAM
2TB 560/530 MBps SATA SSD
7 year old Dell board
2.3Gbps peak measured WAN bandwidth.
It completed a full chain sync to block 840,000 in 2:15.

So a 64 core machine of 4 MHz cores is 128 times faster validating than a 1 core machine of 2MHz.
