Also just realized that the is_coinbase(prevout) check can be performed in store.populate(block) and set on the prevout metadata, along with the parent tx. This is easily derived from the tx, but by placing the call here it is performed in a normalized manner and during validation (concurrent) and the resulting bit can be set in the cache at no cost. Removing a call per prevout from every input in the chain (2.6B) during confirmation (sequentially). That cuts the cost by the number of cores. Another win.
