I was building everything manually since the script failed. That also did not work. So trying ./install.sh again without sudo 
./install.sh --prefix=$HOME/libbitcoin --build-boost --build-secp256k1 --disable-shared
Why does boost default to 1.89.0 though?

Once this is up, I can use as node for Sparrow + my HWW (Passport). I.e., I am not limited to just creating a seed + making txs in the native Libbitcoin CLI interphase. Explorer I think it's called. bx
